Agar is used for the cultivation of fastidious microorganisms.
Quality Control Specifications:
- The powder is homogeneous, free flowing, and beige
- Visually the prepared medium is trace to slight hazy and light to medium amber. Prepared with 5% SRBC, medium is opaque and dark red.
- Expected cultural response after 18-24 hours at 35°C.
