Yeast Nitrogen Base w/o Amino Acid is used for classifying yeast based on amino acids and carbon requirements. The broth medium contains all the essential vitamins and inorganic salts necessary for the cultivation of yeasts except histidine, methionine, tryptophane and a source of carbohydrate.
