The Yamato PLA Series Amber Desiccators (CGANS models) are expertly engineered to provide a secure, moisture-free, and dust-free environment while strictly protecting light-sensitive materials. Constructed from premium, optically clear "jeweled" amber acrylic, these cabinets effectively block harmful ultraviolet (UV) and visible light, preventing the degradation of sensitive samples. They are the ideal storage solution for critical biological specimens, light-sensitive chemical reagents, and delicate electronic components that require both low humidity and light protection.
Ensuring a stable internal atmosphere is critical, and the PLA Series Amber achieves this through superior airtight construction. The cabinets feature a highly reliable closed-cell gasketing system designed not to "take a set" over time. A special gasket guard system prevents the gaskets from warping or causing leaks, while the heavy-duty door guards further ensure structural integrity and prevent the loss of the internal atmosphere. The doors are secured by spring-loaded sealing clamps that provide uniform locking tension across the entire seal, and slip-a-part hinges offer added convenience during maintenance or loading.
For applications requiring a modified atmosphere, these desiccators are fully equipped for nitrogen or inert gas purging. Each cubicle includes two built-in Nylon gas serrated nipples (1/8" and 1/4" with 90° elbows and hose barbs) for seamless gas line connections. Inside, interchangeable perforated shelves ensure maximum and uniform gas circulation around all stored items. Furthermore, models featuring two or more cubicles are designed with a built-in divider for added structural strength. The entire series is stackable and features non-slip feet, allowing laboratories to maximize valuable bench space without compromising safety.
