Product Description
OPTIKA B-383POL
Trinocular Polarizing Microscope
Part of the advanced B-380 series, the OPTIKA B-383POL is a professional microscope designed for brightfield and transmitted polarized light observations. It is fully equipped for accurate analysis in biology and materials science, featuring a trinocular head, strain-free IOS N-PLAN POL objectives, and a complete polarization system including a Bertrand lens for conoscopic observation, compensator plates, and a high-precision rotatable stage.
Advanced Analytical Capabilities
This microscope is built to provide detailed analysis of birefringent samples. It features a high-precision 160mm rotatable stage, a swing-out polarizer, and a rotatable analyzer. The strain-free optics ensure that no interference is introduced to the image, providing a pure view of the sample's polarization effects. The powerful X-LED³ illumination provides a bright, stable light source for all observation methods.

OPTIKA is proud to introduce its exclusive X-LED³ lighting source. A special combination of high-efficiency LEDs and a special optical system allows OPTIKA to double the light intensity generated by a standard LED. The resulting light is comparable to the light generated by a 50W halogen lamp but with a color temperature of 6300K, representing sunlight. |

Professional Polarization System This model features a high-precision 160mm rotatable stage with a locking mechanism and 0.1mm Vernier scale. It includes a swing-out polarizer and a 0-90° rotatable analyzer. The system is complete with a Bertrand lens for conoscopic observation and compensator plates (1° Red, λ/4, Quartz Wedge) for advanced analysis. |
Strain-Free IOS N-PLAN POL Objectives
This microscope is equipped with specialized strain-free IOS (Infinity Corrected) N-PLAN POL objectives. These optics are manufactured to eliminate internal stress, ensuring that they do not introduce any birefringence to the optical path. This guarantees that all polarization effects observed are genuinely from the sample, not the lenses.

Large Specimen View (20 mm Field Number) The F.O.V. (field of view) is based on a comfortable diameter of 20 mm. This means that a wide area of the sample can be inspected and allows a natural and easy view, particularly needed in a laboratory environment. |
Conoscopic and Orthoscopic Observation
The integrated Bertrand lens attachment allows for easy switching between orthoscopic view (standard observation of the sample) and conoscopic view (observation of interference patterns at the objective's back focal plane). This is essential for determining the optical properties of crystalline specimens.
