Replacement ORP Probe for GroStar® Pen Testers
The Apera Instruments GS5-E is the factory replacement ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) probe for the GroStar® line of pen testers. It restores your GroStar pen to factory-level accuracy and lets growers and water-quality technicians add ORP measurement to a compatible pen without buying a second instrument.
The GS5-E pairs a highly sensitive platinum sensing element with a double-junction reference system. The double junction isolates the internal electrolyte from the sample, preventing reference contamination and delivering stable, fast mV readings in nutrient solutions, treated water and other complex matrices.
- Measurement Parameter: Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP), reported in mV.
- Compatibility: GroStar® pen testers — GS1, GS2 and GS4 platforms, including the GS1-P and GS4-P ORP configurations.
- Sensing Element: Platinum, for fast and sensitive redox response.
- Reference System: Double-junction, to resist contamination in dirty or nutrient-rich samples.
