Product Description
Apera Instruments TN Series
Portable Nephelometric Turbidity Meters (ISO 7027 & EPA 180.1)
The Apera Instruments TN Series offers laboratory-grade turbidity measurements in a rugged, portable format designed for both field and benchtop use. Understanding that different regulatory bodies require specific analytical methods, the TN Series is divided into two distinct technological pathways: models utilizing an Infrared light source (860 nm) for strict compliance with ISO 7027 standards, and models utilizing a Tungsten White Light source for strict compliance with U.S. EPA 180.1 standards. This ensures that environmental professionals, water treatment facilities, and beverage manufacturers can select the exact instrument required for their compliance reporting.
Beyond regulatory compliance, the TN Series is built for reliability and ease of use. The meters feature a large color TFT screen with graphic and text navigation, simplifying the calibration process and measurement readings in any lighting condition. The advanced optical system provides highly accurate 90-degree scatter (nephelometric) measurements, ranging from extremely low turbidity levels (drinking water) to highly turbid environmental samples, utilizing AMCO Clear® polymer solutions as primary calibration standards.
For operations requiring stringent record-keeping, the advanced TN480 and TN500 models integrate comprehensive GLP data management. These units feature built-in data loggers with USB outputs, allowing users to safely store, time-stamp, and export calibration and measurement data directly to a PC. All models are housed in an IP67 waterproof and dustproof structure, ensuring flawless operation in severe weather or demanding industrial environments.
