Product Description

The Esco Airstream® horizontal laminar flow clean bench delivers an ISO Class 3 work zone over a 7.5 ft² stainless steel work surface. Filtered air moves horizontally from the rear filter bank across the work zone and out toward the operator, so samples sit in first-air for the full depth of the bench.

A DC ECM blower holds 90 fpm across the work zone at 832 cfm and compensates for voltage fluctuation and filter loading, instead of drifting as the filter loads. Esco rates it at 70% lower energy use than an equivalent AC motor.

This configuration uses the Simple Switches panel — rocker switches for blower, light and UV, with a filter loading indicator and a manually adjustable UV timer — and a fixed front window. Side walls are available in glass or stainless steel; choose the configuration below.

Please note: a horizontal clean bench provides product protection only, not personnel protection. It is not suitable for work with hazardous, toxic or infectious materials, which require a biological safety cabinet.

Features

Stainless steel worktop. Spill-retaining design contains accidental liquid spills inside the work zone.

Quiet operation. 55.4 dBA measured per IEST-RP-CC002.2, low enough for sustained work without fatigue.

ULPA filtration. Ten times the efficiency of a HEPA filter, creating an ISO Class 3 work zone instead of the industry-standard ISO Class 5.

Rocker switch control. Direct switches for blower, light and UV, with filter loading status and a manually adjustable UV timer.

Isocide™ antimicrobial powder coating. Eliminates 99.9% of surface bacteria within 24 hours of exposure.

cUL Listed. Each clean bench is individually factory tested for safety and performance in accordance with international standards. Cross-contamination and product protection are verified using a microbiological test method adopted from EN 12469. All components are cleanroom compatible.
