PCR Reagent

Master mixes, polymerases and kits for endpoint PCR, qPCR, RT-qPCR, cDNA synthesis and isothermal amplification.

Authorized distributor for Solis BioDyne — room-temperature stable, shipped ice-free.

Ice-free shipping and storage

Solis BioDyne mixes are formulated to tolerate ambient shipping and remain stable at room temperature for weeks. That removes dry-ice surcharges and the risk of a shipment arriving thawed after a weekend in customs.

For long-term storage, follow the label — ambient tolerance is for transport and bench use, not indefinite storage.

Choosing a master mix
  • Endpoint PCR — standard Taq mixes for cloning checks, genotyping and gel-based analysis
  • qPCR probe-based — for multiplex and diagnostic assays where specificity is critical
  • qPCR dye-based — economical for single-target quantification and primer screening
  • One-step RT-qPCR — reverse transcription and amplification in a single tube, reducing contamination risk
  • Isothermal — LAMP and related chemistries for field and point-of-care work without a thermal cycler
Hot-start and why it matters

Hot-start polymerases stay inactive until the initial denaturation step, preventing primer-dimer formation and non-specific extension during setup at room temperature. For multiplex reactions, low-copy targets and any diagnostic application, hot-start is not optional — it is the difference between a clean result and background you cannot interpret.

Contamination control

Amplicon carry-over is the most common cause of false positives in a PCR laboratory. Separate pre- and post-amplification areas, use filter tips throughout, and set up reactions in a dedicated PCR cabinet with UV decontamination. We supply the cabinets, filter tips and workflow consumables alongside the reagents.
