The Solis BioDyne 10x Lysis Buffer is a highly efficient, universal lysis reagent designed for the rapid extraction of DNA from a wide variety of sample types. It is specifically engineered to handle the most inhibitor-rich matrices commonly encountered in applied sciences, such as plant seeds and leaves. The product has been rigorously validated on challenging matrices including soy, salad leaves, spinach, wheat, mung beans, and maize. The resulting DNA lysate is fully compatible with allele-specific genotyping experiments, such as those performed with the HOT SolisAcura™ Cassette-based Genotyping Mix.

Designed to streamline laboratory workflows and maximize efficiency, this buffer enables complete DNA extraction in under 5 minutes utilizing a convenient one-tube format. This approach significantly minimizes the risk of sample loss and cross-contamination. The extracted DNA is immediately suitable for demanding downstream analyses—including direct qPCR, genotyping, GMO, and pathogen detection—without the need for additional cleanup steps. Furthermore, the lysate demonstrates exceptional compatibility; adding up to 50% of the lysate to a reaction does not inhibit the amplification process, and the extracted lysate can be safely stored at -20°C for over a month.
