A laboratory shaker earns its place when agitation has to be repeatable. Swirling a flask by hand mixes it, but no two operators swirl the same way and nobody swirls for four hours. The Yamato SA-400-220V runs vertical 20–300 rpm with a 90 W DC motor and a 0–60 minute timer with continuous switching, so an extraction, a dissolution test or a culture gets the same treatment every time, logged as a speed and a duration rather than as an operator's technique.
The SA-400 doubles throughput by shaking two decks at once. Where a single-deck shaker forces you to choose which experiment runs today, the double-sided vertical design carries up to ten 100 mL flasks or six 1 L flasks — twice the capacity of the SA-300 in the same bench footprint, with a digital speed display so the setting is recorded rather than estimated from a dial position. All three SA models share the same platform: a DC motor sized well above the load so speed does not sag as flasks fill, dial-set speed control, and a chassis heavy enough (about 39 kg) that it stays put on the bench instead of walking across it at high frequency.

Installation Requirements
- Electrical: single phase AC 220 V, 1 A, 50/60 Hz.
- Bench: a level, rigid surface rated for approximately 86 lb. A shaker on a flexible bench transmits vibration to everything else on it.
- Clearance: allow room around the platform for the shaking stroke and for loading flasks.
