Labculture® G4 Class II Type B2 (Total Exhaust) Biological Safety Cabinet
The Labculture® G4 Type B2 exhausts 100% of its air through dedicated ductwork with no recirculation, which makes it the right choice when the work involves volatile chemicals or radionuclides alongside biological agents. A fail-safe interlock shuts the main fan down automatically if the building exhaust fails. Both supply and exhaust air pass through ULPA filters, creating an ISO Class 3 work zone, ten times cleaner than the industry-standard ISO Class 5.
This cabinet must be hard-ducted to a dedicated building exhaust system. Use the CBV exhaust volume and static pressure below when sizing your HVAC.

Do you need total exhaust?
Type B2 is required when volatile chemicals or radionuclides are used in the cabinet. If the work is biological only, the recirculating Type A2 (LA2-5S9-G4) costs less to buy and far less to run, since it does not send conditioned room air out of the building.
