Product Description
A magnetic stirrer stops working the moment the sample gets thick. The bar decouples, the vortex collapses, and mixing quietly ends — usually without anyone noticing. An overhead stirrer has no such limit: the shaft goes into the liquid and the motor turns it, whatever the viscosity. The Yamato LT-500 series is the bench-scale version of that idea, built around a 30 W DC brushless motor with speed feedback control, so the set rpm is held as the load changes rather than drifting down as the batch thickens.
The series is sold by viscosity, not by a single spec sheet. Two models share the same body and differ only in the gearing trade-off between speed and torque — more torque for thick media, more speed for thin ones. The panel shows the speed digitally alongside a torque indicator in 20 % gradations and an overload warning, which turns torque into something you can watch during a reaction instead of something you infer after it. The LT-500 is the higher-torque body of the LT family, for work the LT-400 would labour at.
Choose your configuration above. LT-500A and LT-500B are the main body only — order this if you already have a stand, rod, shaft and propeller. LT-500AA and LT-500BA are the complete set: main body, stand, rod, stainless steel shaft and 60 mm 4-blade propeller, ready to run out of the box.

Higher torque means thicker media; higher speed means thinner media. If you are unsure which applies to your sample, tell us what you are stirring and we will specify it.

Installation Requirements
- Electrical: AC 100–125 V, 50/60 Hz. This series is 115 V only — there is no 220 V version. For 220 V service, ask us about the LR series or a transformer.
- Stand: the main-body-only models require a stand and rod (available separately as LR-41-124, or as part number YSA0000194 plus 2310030209).
- Shaft and propeller: selected to match vessel geometry and sample viscosity — we can specify these with you.
