The Gyrozen 1696R II is a table-top high-speed refrigerated centrifuge with an unusually wide capacity range. It reaches 16,000 rpm (27,590 x g) with fixed-angle rotors and 5,000 rpm (5,394 x g) with swing-out rotors, holding up to 6 x 250 mL, 24 x 15 mL, 48 x 1.5/2.0 mL or 20 x 5.0 mL, and up to 4 x 1,000 mL in swing-out mode. Temperature control from −11 °C to 40 °C with fast-cool to 4 °C in five minutes. Supplied without rotor.

- With motorized lid mechanics, only a gentle touch is sufficient to close and open the lid
