Confocal Dish
Confocal and high-resolution imaging needs the sample within the working distance of a high-NA objective, which an ordinary culture dish does not allow — its base is too thick and the wrong refractive index. A confocal dish replaces the centre of the base with a thin optical window the objective can work through.
This is the glass-bottom version with the larger 20 mm window — a 3.14 cm² confocal region, more than double the imaging area of the 13 mm version (100350). Worth the difference when you are hunting for events across a field rather than imaging a known spot. Surface treated for cell adhesion.
