Product Description
Spray drying and fluid-bed granulation solve opposite problems. Spray drying makes powder from a liquid; fluid-bed granulation takes powder you already have and builds it into larger, free-flowing granules — or simply dries a wet powder without caking it. A powder that will not flow, will not compress and will not dissolve evenly is a formulation problem that granulation fixes.
The GB-210B is the GB-210 platform configured for that second job. The GF200 mini-bed attachment replaces the spray chamber with a fluidised bed, so the same controller, blower, heater and feed pump now suspend a powder in an upward air stream and spray binder onto it. Bench scale, 40 to 220 °C, in the footprint of a spray dryer.
How this model is built up: The GB-210B is the GB-210 main unit plus the GF200 mini-bed attachment. Fitted with the GF300 instead, the same base unit is the GB-210A spray dryer. If you want both operations, buy the bare GB-210 plus both attachments.
Key Features
- Fluid-bed drying and granulation at bench scale with the GF200 mini-bed attachment
- 40 to 220 °C inlet, ±1 °C
- Dries wet powder without caking — the bed keeps particles separated while they dry
- Builds free-flowing granules from powder that will not flow or compress
- Peristaltic binder feed, 0 to 26 mL/min
- PID digital control with K thermocouple and touch panel
- 4–20 mA temperature outputs for external logging
- Converts back to a spray dryer by swapping the GF200 for a GF300
- 760 × 420 × 1350 mm, approx. 110 kg

Safety Features
- Inlet and outlet overheat protection
- Sample feed reverse-rotation mechanism — backs the feed out rather than forcing it into a blocked line
- Overcurrent and electrical leakage breaker
- Nozzle connection error detection — the unit will not heat with the nozzle wrongly fitted

- Outlet temperature sensor
- Spray air tube
- Sample box
- Static electricity removal earth
- Teflon braided hose, 5 m, with two hose bands
- Container table
- Instruction manual
Not included: Air compressor, GAS-410 organic solvent recovery unit, GWS-410 solvent washing unit, and product collecting containers (GF-32-168 / GF-32-168 LONG).
Installation Requirements
- Electrical: single phase AC 200–240 V, 50/60 Hz, 16–18 A. Terminal switching is required for your voltage — an electrician's job, not a plug change.
- Compressed air: an air compressor is required for water-soluble samples and is sold separately. For organic solvents the compressor built into the GAS-410 is used instead.
- Exhaust: ø50 mm connection — duct it out or to a hood.
- Organic solvents: require the GAS-410 solvent recovery unit. Do not run flammable solvents on an open-cycle machine.
