Product Description
A solvent recovery unit condenses most of what leaves a spray dryer, but not all of it. The GWS-410 handles the remainder: it is a wet scrubber that traps contaminants in the exhaust using nothing more exotic than tap water or an alkaline solution, at atmospheric pressure and room temperature. Yamato describes it as the world's first water-based solvent neutraliser designed specifically for spray dryers.
The mechanism is a Pall ring packed column with water spray washing. Pall rings give the gas an enormous wetted surface to pass through, so contact time does the work rather than pressure or heat. A 35 L reservoir feeds a magnetic-drive circulating pump at up to 15 L/min — magnetic drive because there is no shaft seal to leak, which matters when what you are circulating has just absorbed solvent.

Installation Requirements

- Water: a supply to fill the 35 L tank, and a route for disposing of the spent scrubbing liquid — it will contain whatever it captured, so treat it as chemical waste, not drain water.
- Floor space: 800 × 500 mm, 1230 mm tall, 80 kg.
- Placement: downstream of the spray dryer exhaust, or downstream of the GAS-410 if you have one.
