Product Description
Milenia Biotec GenLine Hop Resistance Gene Screen (MGScHOR 1)
PCR Detection of Hop Resistance Genes horA and horC
The GenLine Hop Resistance Gene Screen is a PCR module for the qualitative detection of hop resistance genes in spoilage organisms. It detects horA and/or horC, two key cross-species markers associated with the ability of Lactobacillus and Pediococcus isolates to grow in hopped beer. Detecting at least one of these markers is a strong indication of an obligate beer spoiler, giving brewery QC teams information in under two hours that classic spoilage tests can take more than 14 days to provide.
Milenia GenLine is a modular system: each PCR Module (MGScLP 1, MGScMP 1, MGScHOR 1) contains the amplification reagents only, and results are read on the lateral flow dipsticks of the PCR Universal Module (MGUP 1), which is ordered separately.
